My Perfect Brunch

Some might be shocked to hear that grocery shopping is my absolute FAVORITE thing to do. The best day of my week is when I make that beloved trek to the H-E-B. . For the most part, I’m trying to learn to shop seasonally. That’s where these beautiful ruby tangos come in - the beautiful marriage of the clementine and the blood orange. Citrus season is really the only time I buy oranges because I don’t like the gamble. Citrus season at HEB is perfect. You can’t go wrong with their 10-some odd varieties of oranges. . And this caprese... I’ve recently discovered (thanks to a good friend of mine) the campari tomato. I’ve never seen a more spherical, red tomato in my life and what better to pair it with than sweet basil and mozzarella? . Color your plate, I always say. Produce rocks.
